Each individual person responds to different tools of self-care, and uncovering, discovering what works for you is truly a process. My mission is to be your guide in this process of creating a sustainable self-care plan that works for you.
With a career spanning well over two decades, Shara has experience providing mental health support to children, teens, families and adults in a wide variety of settings.
She has spent many years providing mental health counseling to students in middle and high school settings, and has a particular passion for working with teens and emerging adults in the educational arena. She has expertise in supporting educators with stress and burnout, and has a particular calling to continue this work in light of the ever deepening challenges faced by school personnel since the pandemic.
Shara holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Rhode Island College and is independently licensed in the state of RI. She is a Certified School Social Worker, Registered Yoga Teacher and Qualified MBSR Facilitator.
Shara has experience facilitating Master’s level courses in social work at Boston University. She has many years of experience in supervising social workers at the level of MSW Intern and those seeking independent licensure, and provides supervision services to emerging clinicians as well.
